Zusammenfassung

Our research offers some reflections of the female image in the Wayuu world through cinema. We focused on the characteristics of indigenous cinema and payed particular attention to the filmography of the filmmaker Wayuu Elizabeth Pirela, specially her docummentary “Majayút Señorita”. It concludes with a Wayuu song on this theme, interpreted by Iisho Uriana, whose lyrics we transcribed.
