Resum

One of the fundamental objectives of the Maastricht Treaty is the sustainable development of the European Union (EU) countries. Since its entry into force, large investments have been approved tofinance convergence programs.The aim of this article is to determine if the investments made to date have managed to reduce thedifferences in unemployment rates among the EU countries. The Theil index has been calculated on theunemployment figures of the countries of the Eurozone during the period 2008-2019.
