El saber sobre la pobreza: estado de la cuestión en la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo

Abstract

This work tries to analyze the knowledge level about the poverty. That it has made in the National University of Trujillo (Perú). This hope leads us to concentrate on the areas of Nursing and Social Sciences which are those that have demonstrated a bigger concern for the tematic of poverty, and to analyze, in the heart of these areas, the theses of pre and postgraduate as well as the published articles in the specialized reviews which have been the result of that concern. In the analysis of theses and articles, keeping as referent the thinking of Pierre Bourdieu and Michel Foucault, about the determination that the knowledge exercises about the reality, we try to show the most outstanding aspects in the treadment given to the poverty, the gaps and the deficiencies, as well as to visualize the pictures of the poverty that are being projected from that treatment, which have a great conditioning power regarding other knwoledges and regarding the practices for the reduction and the elimination of the poverty.
