Resumo

During all the years in which C Language computer programming has beentaught in the course “Fundamentals of Computer Science”, in the IndustrialEngineering degrees and also in the Technical Industrial Engineering studiesof the old study programs, the students’ difficulties for understanding theprogramming abstract concepts have been evidenced.The purpose of the work presented in this document has consisted of increasing the student’s understanding and motivation levels in relation to C programming, which is the most important part - in extension and relevance - ofthe course contents. During the classes corresponding to these contents, acomplete hardware - the electronic circuit itself - and software - the programthat makes it work - study has been performed about several prototypesbased on Arduino.From the obtained results, it can be concluded that this activity has exerted apositive influence in the learning of the C Language and also in the acquisition of the programming basic concepts by the group of students who havetaken part in the experimental tests (first course of the degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering).
