Résumé

The Laboratory of Studies and Conservation of Historical Heritage (LEC-PH) of the University of Cádizwas created as a tool for the conservation of Cultural Heritage and its dissemination. It also contributes tothe training of future professionals in the field of conservation and restoration. It is a meeting and workingpoint for professionals and researchers from very different fields, and has worked on all types ofarchaeological materials, mainly underwater, following a methodology based on the guidelines of goodpractice on Cultural Heritage. It has also participated in numerous excavations, mainly in the underwaterfield, supporting the in-situ conservation of these sites, and defending the multidisciplinary nature ofarchaeological projects.
