Abstract

Derrida's reading of Kant's Der Streit de Fakultäten, which addresses the relationship of knowledge (University) and power (State), has two phases. At first, Derrida will bet on "two Kants", who share a vision of the faculty of philosophy whose critical strength can only be ensured on account of their distance from power. Then he read the Kantian text as a proposal, through a subjective path, for the intervention of philosophy in society, similar to deconstruction. Finally, we will read the Kantian proposal as a critique of the knowledge society of its time, of a rhetorical-subjective and political nature.
