Resumen

Introduction: Gender-based violence (GBV) in dating is a complex socio-structural problem which has shown an alarming rise in incidence rates in recent years. The educational environment, and in particular, higher education, given its socializing nature, represents an ideal context for prevention, detection and intervention in this public health problem. Here, nursing students have a key role to play, since the failure to detect and recognise these phenomena increases gender inequality and hinders real intervention in terms of prevention and education. Objective: To analyse the experiences related to gender violence in dating relationships in nursing students. Methodology: Qualitative phenomenological and exploratory design. Interviews and focus groups were conducted between December 2021 and May 2023 in southern Spain (Andalusia). The COREQ guidelines were then utilised to compile a comprehensive report on the study.
