I am a PhD researcher being part of a European project entitled "Retinal and cognitive dysfunction in type 2 diabetes: unraveling the commonpathways and identification of patients at risk of dementia (RECOGNISED)". This project allows me to fully develop as a researcher and be part of a multidisciplinary group, addressing daily challenges and constantly learning about the changes that occur in the central nervous system at different levels, looking for early alterations and biomarkers that help early detection of this pathology and applying new therapeutic and pharmacological approaches to improve its symptomatology.
