Doctor by the Universidad de Cádiz with the thesis Análisis, evaluación y propuestas de mejora del rendimiento del mecanizado de alta velocidad de aleaciones de aluminio de interés en la industria aeronáutica 2013. Supervised by Dr. Mariano Marcos Bárcena.

My research career began in 2007 with a research grant in the Engineering and Technologies of Materials and Manufacturing Group (TEP-027) at the University of Cádiz. Within this group, I carried out the research for my PhD thesis under the Research and Teaching Staff Training Program (FPDI) of the Regional Government of Andalusia. I am currently an Associate Professor in the area of Manufacturing Process Engineering. My research focuses on Manufacturing Engineering applied to strategic materials in the aerospace industry, particularly high-performance machining and laser texturing, whether aimed at process optimization or surface property enhancement. Since 2019, I have been the head of the Engineering and Technologies of Materials and Manufacturing Group (TEP-027) at the University of Cádiz.
