Doctor by the Universidad de Cádiz with the thesis El carnaval silenciado. Golpe de estado, guerra, dictadura y represión en el febrero gaditano (1936-1945) 2015. Supervised by Dr. José Marchena Domínguez.

PhD in Contemporary History from the University of Cádiz (2015) and member of the Estaban de Boutelou Research Group (HUM-332). His research focuses on the Social History of the 20th century, with a special interest in the recovery of historical memory and the Carnival festival. Since 2011, he has been a lecturer on the Official Master's Degree in Hispanic Studies at the University of Cadiz (UCA). He has also taught and/or given lectures at the European University of Madrid, the University of Almería, the University of Córdoba, the Public University of Navarra, and UNED. His monographs include "The Cádiz Working Class (1949-1959): A Social History Through Popular Sources" (2006) and "The Songs of the Cádiz Carnival During the Second Republic" (2020). In the area of educational outreach, he has been awarded, among others, the Carnival Research Prize from the Cádiz City Council (2003) and the museographic project for the Carnival Museum (2004). He is also notable for coordinating the Traveling Historical Memory Classroom of the Cádiz Provincial Council (2016-2021), as well as for the development of documentaries, exhibitions, and historical tours.
