Abstract

This paper tries to offer an overview of one of the red-hot and new topics of public employment Law: the impact of the digitalization of the public Administrations on the rights of their employees. Though the processes of administrative digitalization are still in an early stage and very slowed down because of political, bureaucratic and budgetary circumstances, there is no doubt that they will be definitively implemented in the long term.Digital transformation, which is much more advanced in large private service companies, requires a redefinition of the civil servants’ legal position in relation to the traditional powers of leadership and resource management in the hands of the administrative organizations, projecting much of their rights towards a future in which increasing datification and digital imperatives of any sign will be intensely present in their relational sphere.
