Abstract
Given the increase in competitiveness of local and international markets, and the increased importance of total quality management, emphasis is placed more and more organizational research on structural dimensions and characteristics of large organizations. We believe that it is also necessary to apply organizational analysis from the perspective of the small and medium size companies as well. Thus, we will define a model of quality management adapted to the necessities and peculiarities of the latter. Will identify their parameters, will make reference to the external aspects of the administration, such as clients and suppliers. In respect to internal parameters, the design of the organizational structure, technical processes, human resources and control is discussed.
