Abstract

We intend to present the data analysis carried out in this research about the assessment systems, dealing with the inclusion of the principles of sustainability in university classrooms. Given the nature of such research, we chose the Grounded Theory as a strategy for analysing the theoretical and empirical data obtained, promoting their dialogue. The Grounded Theory as a strategy of analysis allows theorizing from the empirical data, in contrast with the information emerging from the theoretical revision. As to the peculiarities of the process followed, this paper presents the analytical procedures proposed by the Grounded Theory. We have focused on the characterization of the process itself, developed in the different phases of the research and not on the results of the research. The purpose is to provide information for the theoretical-methodological foundation of educational research.
