Abstract

The creation of quality interactive activities allows providing students with effective and directed feedback. Unfortunately, the tools for their creation usually present some issues for teachers such as the low capacity of customization, a limited analysis of the interaction of users with it, the steep learning curve, privative clauses in the license of the resources or the poor integration with the different Learning Management Systems (LMS) used. In this paper, we present a modified H5P activity proposal, available as open-source and with HTML5 support. It allows for a simple-to-implement simulation of practical laboratories, that can easily be integrated into the most widely used LMS. Additionally it can be customized and is capable of gathering information from the students' interaction through an xAPI. As a case study, we created a serious game that serves to prepare a laboratory practice of a Local Networks course.
