Résumé

The urban planning of Cádiz supported broad processes of demilitarization and secularisation which allowed for the creation of new civilian recreation areas. The nineteenth-century bourgeoisie, culturally dominant class, will be the executor of such changes which will be ideologically transformed through their iconographic occupation with monuments, plaques, furtiture whose formulas and values are expanded to the times current.
