Resum

We present a line of research group “Teacher professional development” of the University of Cadiz, focusing on how to introduce sustainability in the higher education framework. We have going on two PhD, which shares directors and involve intertwined. One focuses on methodological approaches used by teachers and other in the characterization of an assessment system, both under the paradigm of complexity and consistent with the principles of sustainability. We work as a group from a common perspective, this way of research harmonizes with Network ACES´s philosophy (Junyent, Geli and Arbat, 2003). The PhD draws on synergies arising within the group and in the research topics –methodologies and assessment- which we understand as an integrated system. Both are interpretative, with data taken directly from the classroom. It has different samples and analysis system; one is a previous category system and another emergent, as result of the analysis of the information obtained. We are in the process of analysis, so we don't have conclusive results; but we can see a series of practical assumptions that compromise the functioning of the research group and give keys to promote principles of sustainability in the classroom, with the idea of another possible world how horizon.
