Resumen

Dada la eficacia del tratamiento antirretroviral actual, las infecciones en pacientes cumplidores han disminuido su incidencia, cobrando importancia la enfermedad neoplásica. Los tumores son con frecuencia la primera manifestación de la infección, especialmente los definitorios de sida, si bien otras neoplasias se presentan con mayor frecuencia en estos pacientes. Se describe la forma de presentación, el diagnóstico, el tratamiento y la prevención de los más prevalentes. Las infecciones que presentan están relacionadas con el nivel de linfocitos CD4 y la profilaxis de infecciones oportunistas; el tratamiento no ha variado mucho, pero sí el diagnóstico, pues tenemos disponibles nuevas técnicas que debemos saber interpretar. Las enfermedades reumatológicas son menos prevalentes, pero haremos un repaso de las más frecuentes y su forma de presentación.
