Abstract
Most social movements protect and spread broad democratic ways, against traditionally strict prevailing views currently in expansion. It is possible to study the contribution of the social movements for the preservation and deepening of the democracy under the perspective of the discur-sive history, using the set of operative concepts of the referential frameworks. The analysis could be made independently for each movements, but we have to take into account the discursive relationships between them. Relationships between sindicalism and new social movements are of special interest because since the transition, both have followed divergent paths. If the latter has been enjoying growing sympathy, the former has been losing support to the point of moving from being considered adjuvant in the arrival of this democracy, to being considered dispensable in its regeneration
