Abstract

Forensic Linguistics is a newly created discipline which studies the link between language and the law in general, and language as evidence in particular. There is no consensus on the definition of this subject, so we have carried out a terminological review of the concept and then made a historiographical study to determine when language started to be considered as evidence in police and judicial investigations
