Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to describe how Reading is treated in the United Kingdom, taking into account real experiences in a number of Primary Schools in Sheffield. We will analyse the novel aspects of Reading in the British Educational System (Literacy Support Teacher, the policy of school libraries, parental involvement in home reading, etc.) to consider the convenience of adopting them in our own country.
