Abstract

This paper presents the preliminary results of the study of materials from the archaeological activity carried out in Av. de la Marina (Algeciras) between 2005 and 2007. As the main novelty, and thanks to the study of the common amphorae and ceramics of the site, we have been able to identify a High and Middle Imperial phase in the ancient Iulia Traducta, thanks to the identification of a Flavian Haltern 70 amphora and parts of Dressel 20 and Almagro 51c amphorae. The cemetery continued in use until at least the 4th century, as attested by amphorae of North African production.
