Dexmedetomidina-magnesio para analgesia en procedimiento de Nuss pediátrico

Resumen

La corrección quirúrgica del pectus excavatum ocasiona dolor muy severo y su control supone un reto para el anestesiólogo. Presentamos dos adolescentes sometidos a cirugía con técnica de Nuss en los que se utilizó dexmedetomidina y sulfato de magnesio por vía intravenosa y epidural, evitando los opioides sistémicos. Durante todo el periodo perioperatorio, ambos pacientes presentaron resultados óptimos en cuanto a analgesia y sin efectos adversos. En base a estos dos casos, consideramos que la combinación de dexmedetomidina y sulfato de magnesio por doble vía, intravenosa y epidural, resulta segura y efectiva en el manejo analgésico del procedimiento de Nuss.
