Jesús Barrena Martínez is Associate Professor at the University of Cadiz. His PhD obtained a special mention for the best doctoral thesis in Corporate Social Responsibility in 2014 from the Santander CSR Chair at the University of Malaga. In the field of Management, he has assumed functions such as Erasmus coordinator for more than 10 years, helping to sign agreements between universities on short teaching and research stays in Limerick (Ireland), Utrecht (Netherlands) and Casino (Italy). In the field of Research, he has participated in various Research Projects of Competitive Calls both nationally (of the corresponding Ministry) and Andalusian Autonomous (of the corresponding Ministry), participating as principal investigator in a project for young researchers granted by the Plan Own of the University of Cádiz. Throughout his professional career, he has been developing his research in the field of corporate social responsibility, human resource management and intellectual capital. He has published 15 articles in national and international journals, standing out for the prestige of these journals in the area, the Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility & Environmental Management, among others, among others, of the which, five of these publications are in the first decile of the Journal Citation Report. Also, he has participated in numerous forums presenting more than 40 papers in relevant congresses and conferences in the area, both nationally and internationally. Frequent and regular attendance at this type of event has allowed him to come into almost permanent contact with the scientific community, being invited on numerous occasions as a reviewer of scientific articles, participating as Track Chair in some of these congresses, and becoming part of of the Editorial Team as Associate Editor from 2018 to the present of the Review of Business Management (RBGN) magazine.
