Doctor by the Universidad de Cádiz with the thesis Fabricación y comportamiento estructural y mecánico de componentes de acero inoxidable producidos mediante deposición de energía directa con arco de plasma e hilo 2025. Supervised by Dr. David Sales Lerida, Dr. Nuria Balades Ruiz.

Luis Segovia Guerrero is a physicist and materials engineer (2019) and has a master's degree in Distributed Renewable Energies (2021). He has worked abroad (2019-2020) in the company Added Value Solutions UK as a Mechanical R&D engineer, as well as made short stays in other companies in the industrial sector such as Acerinox S.A.U. and a consultancy, INERSUR S.L. He currently works at the University of Cádiz as a predoctoral researcher to obtain the title of Doctor. He has participated in several communications to congresses and in transfer contracts with companies (OTRI). He has taught classes as an external teacher in areas such as Materials Science and Technology and is currently in the field of Industrial Engineering, in areas such as mechanics, manufacturing and welding. It also has specialization and experience in the field of additive manufacturing.
