Résumé

Nowadays, the rise of escape rooms as a worldwide extended leisure activity is a reality. Such success has been achieved briefly and has motivated its use as a formative tool at various academic levels. Some authors have reported successful use of educational escape rooms in multiple topics (nursery, pharmacy, psychology, telecommunications, and STEM courses, among others). Furthermore, evidence of a learning process during educational escape room experiences has been published in the last years. Educational escape rooms are nowadays considered a valid, innovative formative methodology. This chapter aims to provide background, information, case reports, and guidelines for using educational escape in various curricular disciplines.
