Graduate (1986) and Ph.D. (1989) in Classical Philology at the University of Seville. Fulbright fellowship in the University of Michigan for one year (1990/91), 6 months in the University of Louvain (1999), 3 months in the University of Munich (2001) and 6 months in the University of Mainz (2010/11) with the financial suppor of the Government of Spain, as well as shorter stays in other cities of Germany, England, Portugal and Spain. Best Dissertation on Latin Philology by the Spanish Society for Classical Studies (SEEC). Research Prize City of Seville (1991). 2nd Prize “Archivo Hispalense” by the Government of the Province of Seville (1998). Silver Medal of the city of Morón de la Frontera. Founding member of the Spanish Society for Latin Studies (SELat); member of the Spanish Society for Classical Studies (SEEC) since 1986. Member of the International Association for Neo-Latin Studies (IANLS) since 1993 and of the Advisory Board since 2018. Sodalis of the Academia Latinitati Fovendae. Co-editor of Acta Conventus Neo-Latini Bonnensis and Acta Conventus Neo-Latini Budapestinensis. Co-organiser and Co-editor of the 17 volumes of Proceedings of four congresses on Humanism and Classical Tradition held at Alcañiz in 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.
