Doctor by the Universidad de Cádiz with the thesis Las ánforas de Valentia. Contribución a la historia de las relaciones comerciales del litoral de Hispania Citerior en época romana republicana 2021. Supervised by Dr. Darío Bernal Casasola, Dr. Albert Ribera Lacomba.

Born in 1969. University of Valencia 1992: Degree in Geography and History. University of Leicester 1995: Master of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Post-excavation Skill studies. University of Cadiz 2021: PhD in Maritime History and Archeology. During the first years of my career, I combined underwater archeology with excavations on land. During those years, with Professor J. Pérez Ballester and from the Department of Prehistory and Archeology of the University of Valencia, I organized five international congresses on underwater archeology that centralized the results of this type of archaeological work in Europe. From 1993 to 2020 I practiced the profession of archaeologist as a freelancer. I collaborated on various national and international research projects, mainly in Italy, in Pompeii. Although due to the performance of the profession I have worked in all historical periods, and also prehistoric, my publications have focused on maritime traffic and trade through the study of transport amphorae. Especially those from the period between the 2nd and 1st centuries B.C. Currently, I carry out my research activity at the University of Cádiz through a Margarita Salas grant. In collaboration with the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF), I am developing research in Greece focused on the social and economic circulation of this type of container in Greek Epirus during the 2nd and 1st centuries BC.
